Born from a Bad Hair Night (and a Plastic Bag)

It started with a downpour, a night out, and a moment of pure desperation.

Heading out for an evening with my sister and oldest friend, we found ourselves standing outside, staring at the rain, completely unwilling to let it ruin our hair. So we did what any resourceful woman would do - we slipped plastic bags over our heads and made a run for the Uber.

Glamorous? Not exactly. But it was that ridiculous moment that sparked everything.

I thought: there has to be a better way. So I went looking - and I couldn't find a single stylish rain bonnet anywhere in Australia. The beautiful, practical bonnets my grandmother's generation swore by had simply disappeared. And I couldn't understand why.

That's when Bonnie Bonnets was born.
